Tiki Barber's career in television

Tiki Barber was one of the best players from the New York Giants in the last years and, in 2006, at the moment of his retirement he held several records, being the all time rushing and reception leader. Maybe because he did not want to stay away from public life, Tiki Barber decided to try his luck in television.
Just after his retirement, Tiki Barber signed a contract with NBC and started working for the Today show. In addition, he has regular appearances at NBC sports as a broadcaster and also hosts entertainment shows at NBC Universal. Barber had several television appearances before retirement but it wasn't until February 2007, when he became an analyst for Sunday Night Football, combining television with his previous love, football. Although he currently is a correspondent for the Today show, it is rumored the he is the candidate for the co-host position that is now held by Matt Lauer. An extremely interesting fact is that even if there were a lot of persons that switched from sport activity to television before him, Tiki Barber is the only one that has not limited to sport shows. He is fully involved in news, as well as social and political stories.
